September Project

atom1

Here are the instructions for the different parts of this month’s project.

1. Timeline:

  • Names and images of scientists that proposed different atomic models.
  • Explain in detail the experiments that where carried out by each of these scientists which later led to changes in the structure of the atomic model.

2. Explain and provide an image of :

  • The types of changes your element can undergo and specify if the change is extensive or intensive.

3.General Information:

  • Atomic mass and number.
  • Number of shells in an atom of your element.
  • Number of valance electrons.
  • Location on the periodic table.

Groups & Elements:

  • Group A: Boron
  • Group B: Carbon
  • Group C: Nitrogen
  • Group D: Lithium
  • Group E: Beryllium

🙂 ALWAYS EXPECTING YOUR VERY BEST!!

September Project

environment-day

Here are the instructions for this month’s project.

  1. Research: Internet sites, magazines, and/or pages  18-24 of your textbook. Use the researched information to explain how populations cause problems to Earth’s environment. * No less than 2 paragraphs.
  2. Choose a current environmental problem/situation of your interest.  Explain what it consists of and how humans are the cause of it. * No less than 2 paragraphs.
  3. Group work: Make a presentation that illustrates each group member’s environmental issue/problem. Apply the steps of the scientific method and propose an informed or educated solution for each problem.
  • Due date: Wednesday 9/28/2016

Project: Atom Model

It’s monthly project time!!!!

As you see in the images above building an atom model is fairly simple but super neat!!!

In class I will be:

  • Assigning the elements to each group.
  • Informing everyone of the due date.
  • Providing each group with the essential questions you will need to answer in your report.
  • Listing the requirements your models need to meet in order to obtain full grade 🙂

* The presentation and model construction rubrics can be found right here on our blog.

I ONLY REQUIRE YOUR ABSOLUTE BEST AND NOTHING ELSE!!
